Muslim woman in Meerut elopes with brother-in-law after husband refuses to shave beard despite repeated requests.

The man, Shakir, a Muslim cleric residing in Ujjawal Garden Colony of Meerut, was married to Arshi just seven months ago. According to Shakir, his wife began pressuring him to shave his beard soon after their wedding.

Arshi then began an affair with Shakir's younger brother. The two eventually eloped on February 3, leaving Shakir and his family in shock.

Victim Maulvi claims,

"My wife didn't like my beard and me being a Maulvi. She didn't want to put hijab and live Islamic way. She wanted freedom.

My wife Arshi and my younger brother planned to murder me."

One Netizen wrote, "Allah ko Khush karne ke liye Woh Katwa Liya, Arshi ko khush karne ke liye Daadi nahi Katwa Sakhta?"
