Transfer or retire: Tirupati temple board removes 18 non-Hindu employees

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has taken action against 18 employees for practicing non-Hindu religious activities, violating the board's rule that staff must adhere to Hindu traditions.

They are offered the option to transfer to other departments or take VRS.

On removal of 18 non-Hindu employees from TTD, Asaduddin Owaisi says,

"This is what TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu needs to think. Their party, in the Joint Working Committee (Waqf) supports the bill brought by the BJP to appoint a minimum of 2 non-Muslims to the State Waqf Board and non-Muslims to the central Waqf Board.

In TTD, a non-hindu cannot be a board member, trustee or employee. The same should be followed here. Why is Chandrababu Naidu supporting the BJP... If a non-Hindu being in the TTD is wrong, then is it not wrong if non-Muslims are in the Waqf Boards?."
