Kashmiri Engineer Abdul Rafi, who was Jailed In Saudi Arabia For Four Years For speaking Against the Kingdom completes his sentence period...but Saudis now sent him to 'Life Imprisonment'.

Abdul Rafi, Baba, who had been working as a networking engineer in Saudi Arabia, was arrested in 2020.

Saudi authorities had initially sentenced him to nine years in prison, but it was later reduced to five years. He completed his five-year sentence on March 1, 2020, yet he was not released. Instead, he was informed that he now faces a life imprisonment term.

Family has now written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and sought his release and deportation from Saudi Prision.
