"Mute spectators": Manipur BJP MLA asks Amit Shah to withdraw central forces from state.
Manipur BJP MLA and son-in-law of chief minister N Biren Singh, Rajkumar Imo Singh, in a letter on Monday requested the centre to withdraw central forces from the state if they are unable to effectively halt the ongoing violence.
Singh, who wrote the letter to union minister Amit Shah, argued that the presence of around 60,000 central forces in Manipur has failed to establish peace in the state.

In her autobiography, the author has revealed how she stole the idol of Lord Krishna from her Hindu neighbour and tricked her Hindu friend into eating meat on Janmashtami.
According to the BBC's translation of Urdu writer Ismat Chughtai's autobiography 'Kaghzi Hai Pairahan', Ismat Chughtai writes that because she knew that there was nothing contagious about fruit, dalmoth and biscuits, she would trick her Hindu friend into eating meat on Janmashtami.
