National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) cancels Israel Film Festival in Mumbai after pro-Palestinian online campaign.

A citizen group comprising prominent actors Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah, documentary filmmaker Anand Patwardhan and others led a signature campaign urging the NFDC to cancel the festival in view of Israeli war crimes in Gaza.

"This screening by the NFDC is shamefully being held at a time, when the entire world is witness to Israeli war crimes, the ongoing Holocaust and the genocide in Gaza, and across all of Palestine,” read the statement by the notorious group.
