Assam: Prime Accused of the Dhing Rape case, Tafazzul Islam found dead in a pond, where he jumped while trying to escape the policeβs custody.
At around 03:00 PM, a team of police took him to the site where Tafazzul and two others r@ped the minor girl. While reconstructing the crime scene, Tafazzul tried to escape the police custody.
Tafazzul then jumped into the nearby pond. After which, he didnβt return. Police carried out a search operation when they found his dead body.
Two others are yet to be nabbed in this case. Expected to be arrested soon.
On August 22, a 15-year-old minor girl was r@ped by Tafazzul and two others while she was returning from her tuition to her home. She was left near the road-side.
She is now receiving treatment at the Nagaon Hospital.
