Union junior minister for women and child development, Savitri Thakur, faced embarrassment at a school event in Dhar town when she failed to correctly write the slogan 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' in Hindi.

Invited to write the slogan on a board to welcome students back after the holidays, she wrote something that sort of looks like 'Bedhi Padao Bachchav.

Thakur, who apparently did actually pass higher secondary education, from the Urdu Education Board in 2018, was appointed minister less than ten days ago
