'Was asked to lose 10 kgs to meet Rahul Gandhiβ: Baba Siddique's son Zeeshan Siddique.
A day after his ouster from the Mumbai Youth Congress chief post, Congress MLA and Baba Siddique's son Zeeshan Siddique on Thursday alleged discrimination within the party. He alleged that during a Bharat Jodo Yatra, a person from Rahul Gandhiβs team asked him to lose weight if he wanted to meet the Wayanad MP.
"Rahul Gandhi is a good leader, he does his job. Mallikarjun Kharge is like a father-figure to me. But sometimes, despite his seniority, even Kharge ji's hands are tied. The team surrounding Rahul Gandhi is destroying the party; it looks like they have taken 'supari' from another party to 'finish' Congress,β Zeeshan Siddique said.

Wreckage of Pakistan submarine, which sank in 1971, found off Vizag.
A newly acquired Indian Navy deep submergence rescue vehicle (DSRV) has recently located the wreckage of PNS Ghazi , the Pakistani submarine that sunk (with 93 men, 11 officers and 82 sailors) on December 4, 1971 during the India-Pakistan war.
The Tench-class submarine, which served earlier in the US Navy as USS Diablo, was found at a depth of around 100 metres about 2 to 2.5 km off the coast. However, Indian Navy does not want to touch it out of respect for those who fell in action, in true Navy tradition, sources here said.

β‘ Haryana Police has initiated proceedings to seize the assets of farmers who have damaged public property during their 'Dilli Chalo' protest march.
In a statement, police said continuous efforts were being made by the farmers to break the barricades put up at the Punjab-Haryana border and impair law and order by pelting stones at the police.
Before the farmers had kicked off their protest on February 13, the Haryana Police had sent notices to the unions threatening to seize their assets if they damaged public property during their agitation. The notice said that if public property was damaged during the protests, bank accounts would be frozen and assets seized to compensate for the losses.
