Satellite images show recent Israeli advances in Gaza

Israeli troops crossed the entire width of the Gaza Strip and cut off Gaza City from the rest of the enclave, reports The Washington Post, citing an analysis of satellite images from October 3rd.

Israeli tanks and armored vehicles have advanced around 4 miles (around 6.5 kilometers) into the Gaza Strip from the northwest and have reached the Ash-Shati refugee camp. The troops moving from the east to the south also covered about four miles, cutting off Gaza City from the south.
