NIA in its chargesheet said that the bomber Mubeen was inspired by Srilankan Easter bombings.
Indian Express reported that the bomber Mubeen was radicalised by Coimbatore mosque of the Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamath (TNTJ). This had direct connection to the Srilankan Eastern bombers.
In February 2023, NIA did huge raids in South India in connection to Coimbatore blast, on Thowheed Jamath, which has links to ISIS.
