मंत्र का अर्थ - मैं उमापति, देवगुरू, जो ब्रह्मांड के कारण हैं, को नमन करता हूँ। मैं उनको नमन करता हूँ जिनका आभूषण सर्प है, जो मृगधर हैं एवं जो सभी प्राणियों के स्वामी हैं। सूर्य, चंद्रमा और अग्नि जिनके तीन नेत्र हैं और जो विष्णु प्रिय हैं, मैं उन्हें नमन करता हूँ। मैं भगवान शंकर को नमन करता हूँ जो सभी भक्तों को शरण देने वाले हैं, वरदानों के दाता हैं एवं कल्याणकारी हैं।
