The Delhi High Court has sought Jamia Millia Islamia’s stand in a plea seeking quashing of a 2014 resolution wherein it resolved that JMI is a Minority institution and not bound to follow the reservation policy of the GOI.

A single-judge bench of Justice Vikas Mahajan, in its June 16 order, issued notice to the respondents, asking both the University as well as the Centre to file their response to the petition within three weeks.

The matter is next listed on July 7.
