India had already warned Srilanka.
Srilankan Army Chief lateron said that the bombers even went to Kerala and Kashmir, for their training.

Indian Express reported that the bomber Mubeen was radicalised by Coimbatore mosque of the Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamath (TNTJ). This had direct connection to the Srilankan Eastern bombers.
In February 2023, NIA did huge raids in South India in connection to Coimbatore blast, on Thowheed Jamath, which has links to ISIS.
