I hail from Siliguri and i can tell you that the population is increasing rapidly,i can see momins everywhere now(crossing borders from Bangladesh and settling in bengal),they are increasing population to change demographics and to cutt off the rest of North east.
SO if you can connect demographics change+ hell lot of drugs money in north east,you can imagine what could happen...they are just waiting for central govt. to commit one mistake and they will burn north east .

❗Current solution for the problem -

1)Assam won't let it happen as long as himanta da is there

2) in Siliguri (chiken's neck) there are several forces eg: ARMY battalions,CRPF,BSF, SSB,AIR FORCE ..so they won't let any kind of roits in Siliguri.
(Bengal police will run,i assure you)

❗Permanant solution-

Siliguri should be made Union territory so it comes under direct control of the central govt, bcz Mamta ain't gonna do anything,she ignores North Bengal development and security like you ignore banana peel after eating banana.
