Mursal Nabizada, a former Member of Parliament in Afghanistan - was shot dead in her home last night in Kabul by armed men, alongside her bodyguards. Her brother was also wounded in the attack.

She was a was a critic of Taliban's ban on women education and had refused to leave Afghanistan despite threats.

In a recent voice message circulating on social media Mursal Nabizada recently said “This country (Afghanistan) is not a restaurant that I dislike its service & leave it, it’s my land & I would stay beside my people”.

Punjab: Protestors have blocked the Jalandhar-Amritsar National Highway (NH-1) and did a ‘rail roko’ near Dakoha railway station.

The Rajasthan government has announced plans to construct 'gaushalas' in 1,500 gram panchayats in the state. A total budget of ₹1,377 crore has been approved by the government for the construction and operation of the sites, including over 183 crore in 2022-23 and around ₹1,193 crore in 2023-24.

Former BJP MLA from Godhra - Haresh Bhatt passes away at 72.

He was an ex-serviceman and the first president of Bajrang Dal in Gujarat. Hareshbhai is said to have started the ritual of trishul distribution in the organisation.

He became an MLA in 2002, after the Godhra train carnage, wherein 59 Hindu pilgrims were burnt alive.

In 2007, he got involved in a controversy, when in a sting operation he allegedly said that one Narendra Bhai had given them free hand for three days.
