Madhya Pradesh: Ramesh Gulhane (65) from Betul, is accused of allegedly raping a 12-13 year old girl, and then gave her ₹200 to keep quiet. The girl says he had done the same in the past as well.

An angry mob of 150-200 people had set his car on fire, while the accused is absconding.

Maharashtra: Workers of three state-owned power companies go on 72-hour strike against privatisation.

Some Labour unions at the three companies which represent 86,000 employees, are protesting against giving of electricity distribution license to Adani Electricity.

However, the Maharashtra government has invoked the provisions of the Maharashtra Essential Services Maintenance Act (MESMA) restraining the employees of the three State-run power companies from participating in the strike.
