Madhya Pradesh: Khadwa court has sentenced 40 accused to 7-7 years in jail and imposed a fine of Rs 6500-6500 on all, for the murder of Sushil Pundge.

In July 2014, a curfew was imposed for social media posts against Muslims.

When Pundge, a bike rider, was passing through a Muslim-majority Hatampura area, seeing the tilak on his forehead, Islamic radicals killed him with sharp weapons.

Police were threatened that if they enter the locality, they will be killed too.
