Blast in Tamil Nadu near a Hindu temple.

Tamil Nadu: Jemisha Mubeen (25) died after a blast, near Kottai Eswaran temple in Coimbatore.

Cops found nails and marbles in the blast area. Upon searching his home, chemicals used for low intense explosion like potassium nitrate, aluminium powder, charcoal and sulphur which can be used for making country bombs were seized.

He was already in contact with many accused, who were being questioned by NIA. And NIA earlier also held searches against Mubeen.

A few years ago, Mubeen and Azharuddin had allegedly planned to attack Konniyamman Temple. The plan was to stage a terror strike similar to Easter bombings in Lanka in 2019, in which 250 people were killed.

Azharuddin is already in Kerala jail in a ISIS case.

Intelligence agencies have confirmed that the Tamil Nadu temple premises bombing, to be fidayeen attack.

They added that the plan was likely to trigger the suicide blast at a time when the maximum crowd comes to the temple and that is probably why he had gone there around 4 am. But during circuit-fixing, the explosion occurred.
