Indian Coast Guard (ICG) on the basis of intelligence input by ATS Gujarat has jointly apprehended a Pakistani Boat with 06 crew in Indian waters carrying approx. 50 kgs of Heroine worth Rs. 350 crore.
This is 6th such operation in last one year by ICG with ATS, with this incident being second in less than a month when on 14 Sept, 40 kg of heroin worth approx Rs 200 Crores was apprehended from a Pakistani boat.

An Iranian fishing vessel with around 200 kg of heroin worth over Rs 1,200 crore has been seized in Kerala, in a joint operation by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Indian Navy.
This drug consignment was by Pakistan-based Hajii Salim network, which supplies heroin, charas, Methamphetamine etc to India and other countries in Indian ocean.

About 25,000 kg of drugs, which were confiscated in a massive drive carried out by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), will be destroyed in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Guwahati today.
About 11,000 kg of narcotic substances will be destroyed by the NCB in Guwahati. In addition to this, approximately 13,675 kg of confiscated narcotics (heroin, ganja, codeine cough syrup, narcotic pills) will be destroyed by the Northeastern states of Assam ( 2531 kg ) and Tripura (11144 kg). Overall, approximately 25,000 kg of drugs will be destroyed.
On the occasion of 75th independence day, NCB decided that during this special campaign of 75 days, 75,000 kg of drugs should be destroyed by all the regional units.
