A group of 56 ex-bureaucrats and diplomats has written to the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) to withdraw recognition of AAP.

The group alleged the Delhi CM had repeatedly “induced public servants of the State of Gujarat to work in tandem with the AAP” so that the party can ensure victory in the upcoming Gujarat Assembly elections, adding that they totally disapprove of the blatant efforts of AAP to politicize civil servants.

⚡️⚡️⚡️ The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has detected and freezed Rs 46.67 crore kept in various bank accounts and virtual accounts of Easebuzz, Razorpay, Cashfree and Paytm after recent raids in connection with Chinese loan app case.


Huge balances were found to be maintained in the virtual accounts of the involved entities with payment aggregators. Rs 33.36 crore was found with Easebuzz Private Limited, Pune, Rs 8.21 Crore with Razorpay Software Private Limited, Bangalore, Rs 1.28 Crore with Cashfree Payments India Private Limited, Bangalore and Rs 1.11 Crore with Paytm Payments Services Limited, New Delhi. Around Rs 46.67 crore was detected and freezed in various bank accounts and virtual accounts.

Lawyers of the Muslim side, which is challenging the Karnataka HC order on the Hijab ban told the Supreme Court that BR Ambedkar’s statement on the Hijab, extracted from the HC order, was “deeply offensive” and “totally biased”. The lawyers further said that it is one that “should not be repeated in India”.

Karnataka HC had cited an extract from Chapter ten, part one titled ‘Social Stagnation’ of Dr. Ambedkar's 1945 book ‘Pakistan or the partition of India’.

In the extract, Ambedkar talks about how the ‘purdah’ system for Muslim women has been a method for them to be “weighed down by a slavish mentality and an inferiority complex”. He further talks about how it has “brought about segregation of Muslim women…keeping them secluded from the outer world.
