Thick black smoke billowed from North Block in New Delhi on Monday, Oct 26, prompting the Delhi Fire Services to dispatch six fire engines to the site.
The fire was reported at approximately 11:10 a.m. during rooftop repair work.
According to the Delhi Fire Services, a suspected short circuit triggered a fire in an air-conditioning boiler while welding work was underway.
