Israel and Greece are set to sign a $3.6 billion defense agreement to build Greeceโs new โAchillesโ Shieldโ integrated air-defense network.
The system will combine Davidโs Sling, Barak MX and SPYDER with Greeceโs existing Patriot capabilities, creating layered protection against ballistic missiles, aircraft, cruise missiles and drones.
The network will be coordinated through an AI-powered command-and-control system, while 12 Greek defense companies are expected to participate in the project with more than โฌ700 million in industrial work.
The agreement is scheduled to be formally signed in Tel Aviv on August 31.
