Searches are underway across Sopore town and nearby villages, with authorities examining suspected links to the proscribed organisation.

🚨ASSAM: GYM ATTACK ALLEGEDLY OVER HANUMAN CHALISA

In Udharbond, Cachar district, an alleged altercation reportedly broke out after Hanuman Chalisa was played inside a gym.

According to local reports, Azharul Islam allegedly objected to the devotional prayer and asked for it to be stopped. When gym instructor Pritam Deb protested, Islam allegedly attacked him, reportedly striking him on the head.

Pritam Deb was subsequently taken to hospital, while police reportedly arrested Azharul Islam.
