More U.S. strikes against Iran tonight.

The strikes come as the United States is reimposing the naval blockade of Iranian ports, according to President Trump.

The blockade will go into effect at 4pm ET tomorrow, according to CENTCOM.

Iran says it shot down a U.S. MQ-1 drone over the Strait of Hormuz.

A U.S. official tells CNN that tonight's wave of airstrikes is targeting Iranian military assets, including coastal surveillance systems and drone and missile capabilities.

Initial reports claim the United States has launched multiple strikes on Iran, including alleged attacks on Bandar Abbas, Bushehr, and Kish Island. Reports further claim ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles were fired from M142 HIMARS launchers based in Bahrain.
