⚡Can the US Exit NATO? Current Reality

👉 Legal Process:
The US can exit NATO with a 1-year notice, but must follow treaty obligations during that time.

👉 Major Barrier:
A 2024 law requires 2/3 Senate approval or an Act of Congress, making unilateral exit by the President extremely difficult.

👉 Current Political Scenario:
Even today, Trump is unlikely to secure the required 2/3 Senate votes, as many Republicans and almost all Democrats support NATO.

👉 Ground Reality:
He may have backing from some allies, but nowhere near the ~67 Senate votes needed, out of which the Republicans can get support from almost 55-57 making a clean exit highly unlikely.

👉 Bottom Line:
In today’s situation, a US exit from NATO is legally possible but practically very unlikely without massive political support.
