US President Donald Trump announced that Thailand and Cambodia have agreed to stop all firing along their shared border starting Friday evening. He said he held “very good” separate conversations with Thai PM Anutin Charnvirakul and Cambodian PM Hun Manet about easing the recent flare-up in their territorial dispute.

Notably, this announcement came just hours after the Thai Prime Minister publicly rejected reports of any such agreement.
