The DNA test has confirmed that the man who carried out Red Fort bomb blast was Dr Umar. After the blast, his leg was stuck between the steering wheel and accelerator. His DNA sample matched with his mother.

He was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, dismissed from service by LG Manoj Sinha in Nov 2023 for alleged terror links.
