Prayagraj, UP: Allahabad High Court overturns Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party MLA Abbas Ansari's conviction, restoring his UP Assembly membership.

Disqualified in June 2025 for a hate speech case, Ansari appealed the CJM court's two-year sentence.

Though the Sessions Court granted bail, it didn't stay the punishment. The High Court today stayed the sentence, reinstating his membership, says advocate Bhupendra Upadhyay.
