A devastating flood swept through Central Texas after torrential rains dumped a monthโs worth of precipitation in just a few hours. The Guadalupe River rose nearly 8 meters in just 45 minutes, leaving residents with no time to evacuate.
The hardest-hit area was Kerr County were at least 24 people died.
The floodwaters reached Camp Mystic โ a Christian summer camp for girls hosting over 700 children. Around 4 a.m., a massive wave of water swept through the site.
According to different reports, 23 to 25 girls are currently missing.
