You had asked for it long enough and just as promised here is the first part of Megatron from scratch. Within this video we do the initial setup the project, set some common commands such as start and the very initial portion of download/upload module.
I will create a repo for this portion of the video on GitHub once the YouTube video reaches 100 likes and once at least I get 100 subs, so that you could simply clone the repository and run it from where we had left.
Also please comment some feedback on what you would like me to improve on the next video.
Lets get Megatron written back once again 😊

1. Intro to Pyrogram, setting up the project, common commands & initial download/upload module.
This is the very first part of the series, where I am going to build Megatron – the very famous yet retired Telegram file management bot from scratch – and yes of course going to complete the whole project with you guys here on YouTube.
Basically, within…
Basically, within…
Here is the second part of the Megatron from scratch project. Within this video we are going to do the renaming of files that we download/upload, well exactly how Megatron used to do it.
If you remember, when once you send a link to Megatron it used to respond with buttons, which in telegram terms are called InlineKeyboardButtons. These are a list of buttons within InlineKeyboardMarkup and you could send callback data when a button is pressed. These callback data can be captured by filtering for callback queries. Also, for renaming if you remember, with the message you receive you are automatically forced to reply too – well you guessed it right, it is called ForceReply. I do demonstrate these mentioned on this vide.
Unfortunately no one wanted the Git Repo I guess 🤷♂️, well we did not reach our target likes no the subs on the last video that was posted, so let’s keep the target as it is, I will post the source of this portion combined with the previous video on GitHub once either of these video’s reaches 100 likes and once at least I get 100 subs, so that you could simply clone the repository and run it from where we had left. Also please comment some feedback on what you would like me to improve on the next video. Keep me motivated in getting this project done guys 🥺
The only feedback I got last time was that it was difficult to read, so I have addressed it and did this video on the Presentation mode this time, so that font sizes are good enough for someone to read even if they are viewing on a mobile phone. Let me know if you have any other feedbacks at all.

Here is the third part of Megatron from scratch project. This time featuring my beautiful wife. In this video we are going to investigate on how Megatron/Megadlbot used to generate media info for video files. To start with we need to know if the proposed link has a file that is video or otherwise, if it is a video, we use a tool/application called ffmpeg to generate media info that is required.
Unfortunately yet still no one wanted the GitRepo I guess, well we did not reach our target likes no the subs even with the last video that was posted, so let’s keep the target as it is, I will post the source of this portion combined with the previous videos on GitHub once either these video’s reaches 100 likes and once at least I get 100 subs, so that you could simply clone the repository and run it from where we had left. 3. Generating MediaInfo using ffprobe. ft. my Wife! 🤷♂️
Hello! Welcome to third part of the series Megatron from scratch. On this video we are going to investigate on how Megatron/Megadlbot used to generate media info for video files. To start with we need to know if the proposed link has a file that is video…
Here is the fourth part of our ongoing project Megatron from scratch, from todays agenda we are first going to attend a query from one of our subscribers who requested mediainfo to be saved as a text file rather json since it is not very mobile usage friendly. Well we like to go extra miles as usual so we write it as a text file, and have it posted on nekobin.com so that it can be accessed via a webpage too. Listen guys! if you wish to use a paste service there is nothing better than nekobin.com. 🙀
Moving forward we also integrated our application to a database today. We chose to use MongoDB.
Unfortunately yet still no one wanted the GitRepo I guess, well we did not reach our target likes no the subs on either video that was posted, so let’s keep the target as it is, I will post the source of this portion combined with the previous videos on GitHub once either these video’s reaches 100 likes and once at least I get 100 subs, so that you could simply clone the repository and run it from where we had left. 4. Exporting MediaInfo to nekobin.com, integration with a database
Here is the fourth part of our ongoing project Megatron from scratch, from today's agenda we are first going to attend a query from one of our subscribers who requested mediainfo to be saved as a text file rather json since it is not very mobile usage friendly.…
Let us go through Part 5 of our ongoing project Megatron from scratch. As usual we begin from where we left on the last video. We had created a MongoDB and saved any new user data that the bot sees on it. Today we are going to allow users to alter download settings thus update the data that was saved. For that basically we introduced Inline Keyboard buttons on the message that the bot sends when a user sends the command dldsettings. Also, as a part of user interaction with these buttons we edit the reply markup to edit these buttons accordingly. Also, finally we had saved the custom thumbnail on DB - that users wish to attach with their files while uploading/downloading.
I did plan to complete the download settings on this video as mentioned on previous however it became too lengthy, I thought of summing up the video once the above-mentioned tasks were completed. However, with the next video we should be able to have this module totally completed.

5. Edit Reply Markup, Updating/Amending documents on Mongo, Saving Images to DB as base64
Let us go through Part 5 of our ongoing project Megatron from scratch. As usual we begin from where we left on the last video. We had created a MongoDB and saved any new user data that the bot sees on it. Today we are going to allow users to alter download…
Well, let us go through the part 6 of Megatron from scratch project. In this video we are going to imply the settings we saved on the DB for the uploads we do. Also attach the thumbnails that were saved. In order to do this, we are also going to decode the base64 bytes array and write to an temporary image file and define it on the uploads we do accordingly.
Here is part 7 for the Megadlbot from scratch. On this video we are just going to fix the bugs with callback filters that we had earlier. Basically, introducing regex filters to them. Well laying blocks for the pathway to custom filters that will be demonstrated within this series.

Part 8 of the Megadlbot from scratch. Well we are now developing more off icing on the cake such as extra functionalities which made Megadlbot special. Today we will look into the query function which megadlbot had – basically a module that allowed users to retrieve the files that were already downloaded with the same URL without having to wait for download/upload process to finish. For this process we are going to use something called as deeplinking.
More about deep linking can be found here:

Part 10 of our project Megadlbot from scratch. Well I am extremely excited that I had reached 100 Subs, a promise is a promise. I did mention that once I reach 100 subs, I will share the source on a Github repo and a video with instructions on how to deploy it at your environment. That is exactly what I am going to do on this video.
I do understand many of you do also want Heroku deployment instruction – well I have never used Heroku to be honest. I did always prefer a VPS, since I believe that it gives me more functionality, flexibility, and control over the machine. Well you know what - now that I am publishing the source why don’t you make a collab video with me on how to deploy the same on Heroku. I could learn from you as well. Remember I did always say the project is a community project so why not get you all involved with it. If you are interested in doing the collab buzz me at our public telegram chat: https://t.me/megatronstatus

Anyway, here is the part 16 of our ongoing project Megadlbot from scratch. On this video we are going to look at asyncio executor. Basically, asyncio executor is used to run code in OS threads. If some function is blocking and not async by nature, only proper way to run it inside asyncio event loop is to run it inside thread using asyncio executor. In our case Youtube-DL while downloading files.
In this video we do also look into the process of megadlbot used to extract video from YT videos. And a few bug fixes.
