If you're submitting a panel this year, here's some information from your friendly neighborhood Dragon about that process and what to expect:
Panel submissions begin at 12p EDT today, March 19th, & close Friday June 6th at 11:59pm EDT. Late submissions are not accepted; this ensures the schedule is completed ASAP so everyone can start planning their convention weekend!

We have various spaces that your panel may take place in, but most submissions will be put into either a Panel Room or a Meet & Greet Room. However, there are some stages and larger rooms you may be put in depending on the nature of your panel.
Each Panel Room includes a presenters table with:
- Two wired microphones
- A sound mixer
- Speakers
- Projector & screen
Any other equipment, e.g. HDMI cables, converters, 3.5mm audio cables, etc. are not provided by the convention on-site. However, we encourage panelists to communicate to us if there is an issue - we're here to help!
Chair setups for Panel Rooms can vary and are explained on the submission form.

Meet & Greet Rooms include
- A table
- Chairs around the perimeter of the room.
- A whiteboard & dry erase markers located outside the room door.
These can be moved, but we ask that the host and/or willing attendees return them to their original positions after the panel.
If you are submitting a meetup that requires some sort of A/V element like a microphone or projector, there is a checkbox on the form for that to let us know you need a Panel Room. If your meetup panel is selected but you do not check those boxes, you will be put into a Meet & Greet Room. Panel Room space is limited, and a meetup that needs A/V will be a lower priority for scheduling than one that does not have that requirement.

Panels are not first-come, first-served; this inevitably leads to duplicate ideas being submitted. When this happens, we usually reach out to the prospective panelists to see abouta fight to the death collaboration between them. With your powers combined, you could potentially put on an even better panel!
Some fields on the submission form ask for a Telegram username and email address. Providing a Telegram username will add you into an upcoming group chat for this year's panelists to facilitate communication with the Programming Team; if you do not want to be in the group chat, please note that in the field.
Your email address will assist our Registration Team providing your volunteering credit towards your next Megaplex - make sure to use the same email you registered for the convention with! This also applies to your co-hosts, if any, so make sure to get your friend's email addresses!
