' My name is Johanna O’Tigham and I work with survivors of severity, complexly-disabled folks, and other human beings existing on the edge.
I’ve personally been able to share resources and offer sanctuary to handfuls of individuals over the past decade.
I also work with Intuitive Public Radio and Intuitive Invisibles, inc. on both local and international survivor-led recovery and infrastructure projects.
The need is great, and institutional supports aren’t able to provide appropriate and effective solutions for these folks.
I’m interested to connect with other people who are doing this work (formally or informally), and also with other related projects and resources.
I have have formed a nonprofit organization to formalize my work and be able to do more for these communities.
Yellow Rocket Ministries is a survivor-led (nondenominational) faith-based nonprofit organization that exists to bridge with and fill resource gaps for survivors.
We’d love your support for our endeavors! We accept tax-deductible donations, and are always seeking more collaborators! '

' V2.0: Let’s make some Care Magic!
(written with input from colleagues <3)
Welcome to Monday! Who’s up for helping with a simple but worthy challenge?
My colleagues & I are reaching out in hopes of gathering at least $1000 in the next few hours, in order to scale back the urgency of situations for several individuals experiencing severe hardship. We would love to have you to participate, & it needn't take long <3
We’re part of a growing network of people who have been working creatively to help one another & our communities for years. We’ve learned a lot, & as able, make participation easy & fun - we are working to make lives better & giving neighbors a chance at a better future, & have high hopes for this to be increasingly nurtured & celebrated.
We are interested to tap into a shift we see - away from the unfortunate social norm of seeing other people experiencing ongoing hardship as hopeless tragedies with a lot of "I don't know what to do" moments - into discovery of ways to figure things out for the better. There's already huge momentum for people to fund the (care) gaps now… let’s connect & move in good ways!
If you have questions & ideas, are interested to network, or want to collaborate, please comment here or DM me @JohannaBotanica <3
Here’s a link to share funds: PayPal.me/xcriteria
We so deeply appreciate your contributions! They help keep our friends & community members alive & provide them more opportunities to gain quality of life & participate meaningfully in the world.
We won’t ask for more of your time, but if you would like to understand further, read on.

Here are some examples of current situations that we’re actively resourcing:
A disabled community member is stranded & sick in a hotel & needs urgent funds for medical supplies, food, & lodging costs, enough to give us time to make connections & find safe affordable housing.
Another of our community members is a full-time caregiver, & provider for a whole handful of disabled people, & is juggling too much in order to focus on all the entangled priorities, toward easing life-death situations for this group, on the daily. They need some funds to solve immediate problems, & more curious & kind people to be engaged in supporting their lives.
Another collaborator is on the streets without food again. He’s someone who has been a steady caregiver for other colleagues when he’s able. It shouldn’t be surprising that his mental health & will to live are greatly impacted by the repeated experience of this kind of hardship.
....
We’ve included the above details about current situations we are seeking funds & coordination for on an urgent basis, because that’s more familiar as far as fundraising via social networking goes.
However, we know how inundated many people are with emergency fundraisers; & for those in need, efforts at piecemeal supports that aren’t going to be enough to sustainably resolve their current hardships are increasingly exhausting & demoralizing.
My colleagues & I are compiling & innovating resources that will create & expand additional layers of social, physical & economic infrastructure that meet the needs of real people, so more of us will be able to continue to exist - & move forward.
Here in survivor-care coordination land, it's important that we receive monies & community support for our listening & knowledge translation work.
We are on a front line here, & we know well that situations can go distinctly different ways depending on how they're viewed & responded to. There is no substitute for lived experience & expertise!
From a colleague: “We're fundraising for immediate financial emergencies across a host of situations. Please know that we could put as much as $200,000 to work this week to fund the (currently unpaid) coordination work we do. We're in dialogue with funders but progress is slow; we invite creative hearing out & help brainstorming this!”
Thanks for reading, & i look forward to meeting more of you!

All 50 States Have Now Introduced Right to Repair Legislation
The legislation hasn't yet passed everywhere, but all 50 states introducing some form of right to repair legislation is a "tipping point” for the right to repair movement.

"We've heard that the AI race is to be able to claim various informational pieces are AI generated. In our groups, we find this fascinating! We also notice that at intersections of severe and invisible experiencing, people are already having to come to…
I think one approach to this is people with audience who are committed to truth-telling and talking with each other, and taking and responding to questions and feedback from audiences becomes increasingly relevant.
And I think the class/series approach I'm seeking funding and collaboration for could connect the dots among these conversations already happening, including around AI.

I think the El Salvador prison deportation situations and related reporting and commentary could be one path into this.

' A key aspect of the original “Open Space Technology” method/process is that there are a few criteria that, when met, assure a high-performing and productive process and meaningful outcomes. They are:
1. A real “burning issue” that inspires passion and responsibility. A compelling theme (hook, melody, beat).
2. A high degree of complexity. No single “answer”.
3. A high degree of diversity (viewpoint, experience, ethnicity, whatever) among participants.
4. The likelihood of conflict.
5. A deadline of yesterday.
These are guidelines for maximum productivity and outcomes. If some of the criteria are missing, the process is still highly useful and effective. '

' The Cynefin Framework was developed to help leaders understand their challenges and to make decisions in context.
By distinguishing different domains (the subsystems in which we operate), it recognises that our actions need to match the reality we find ourselves in through a process of sense-making.
This helps leaders cultivate an awareness of what is really complex and what is not and respond accordingly so that no energy is wasted in overthinking the routine but they also never try to make the complex fit into standard solutions.
The Cynefin Framework is and has been used in almost every conceivable sector: whether strategy, police work, international development, public policy, military, counterterrorism, safety, energy, healthcare, sales or education it has had something to offer.
In this video, Dave Snowden introduces the Cynefin framework with a brief explanation of its origin and evolution and a detailed discussion of its architecture and function. '
