Ego is lacking the capacity to appreciate, glorify and admire others in public.
If you struggle to hear good things about someone else and to join in and to be a part of that and to celebrate that, that's ego.
If you struggle to acknowledge, you may say I'm the best in the world.
You can say you're the best in the world, sure.
But even the best in the world, if you really sat down with them, they would happily talk about someone else that inspires them to be the best in the world.
They'll never say they're self-made.
(Self-made).

Q1174. A 34-year-old man attends a cardiovascular prevention clinic because of markedly elevated LDL cholesterol. He has no history of smoking, diabetes or hypertension. His father sustained a myocardial infarction at the age of 54, while his mother developed coronary artery disease at 67. His paternal uncle underwent coronary bypass surgery at 43. The patient asks whether his family history should be considered a premature cardiovascular risk factor.
Which finding fulfils the specified definition of a positive family history of premature coronary disease?
A. His mother's coronary disease at 67 years, because all female first-degree relatives qualify.
B. His father's myocardial infarction at 54 years, because a first-degree male relative was affected before 55.
C. His uncle's bypass surgery at 43 years, because any affected relative qualifies regardless of degree.
D. His mother's coronary disease at 67 years, because the female threshold is 70 years.
E. His uncle's bypass surgery at 43 years, because second-degree relatives determine the definition.

Q1182. A 62-year-old woman with established coronary artery disease attends a cardiovascular risk assessment clinic. Her medical history includes chronic kidney disease, hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus and a family history of premature coronary disease. She also has a sedentary lifestyle and elevated LDL cholesterol. The physician reviews the risk-factor classification used in the clinical assessment, distinguishing characteristics that cannot be changed from those requiring active risk-factor management.

Q1193. Four patients present with different patterns of chest discomfort and electrocardiographic findings. Patient 1 has predictable exertional chest pain relieved by rest, with normal cardiac troponin. Patient 2 develops new chest pain at rest with transient ST depression, but serial troponin measurements remain normal. Patient 3 presents with prolonged chest pain, ST depression and a significant rise and subsequent fall in cardiac troponin, without persistent ST elevation. Patient 4 has prolonged chest pain with persistent ST elevation in two contiguous leads.
Which patient most clearly has NSTEMI?
Anonymous Quiz
11%
A. Patient 1, because exertional symptoms indicate acute myocardial necrosis.
11%
B. Patient 2, because new resting symptoms establish myocardial infarction.
67%
C. Patient 3, because acute myocardial injury occurs without persistent ST elevation.
11%
D. Patient 4, because persistent ST elevation indicates non-ST-elevation infarction.
0%
E. Patient 1, because normal troponin confirms an acute coronary thrombus.
