whats is SCORE??

SCORE provides medical students from around the world the
unique opportunity to participate in exceptionally rewarding and affordable
clinical or pre-clinical research in a foreign country. Research
projects organized through SCORE are designed to deepen medical
student knowledge in the various fields of medical and clinical research.
The possibility of partaking in research
Abroad is intended to broaden medical students’ body of
knowledge, and introduce them to different approaches to clinical investigation,
medical education, health care, and ethical research standards.
The maintenance of affordable exchange tuition ensures that
students from across the world can participate without incurring a
financial burden. Finally, SCORE continually strives to facilitate collaboration
and partnerships between different medical universities,
research institutions, and allied health students.

Meet our first speaker in IMED Closing Ceremony: Dr. Mutaz Amin.

Health is a very broad and complex subject and so is climate change and when put together they bring even more aspects to consider, so it's time to start considering climate change as a serous health issue so we can bring on change on a community level.

I here by open the call for the climate change workshop that will be held in cooperation with the WHO on Saturday 28th of January at The WHO office from 10am till 6pm.

Seats for this workshop are limited, so each LMO will have a set number of seats. Active member will be selected by the LPOs and the final list of participants will be announced on Thursday. This workshop has no fees.

Registration will close tomorrow, January 24th 11:59pm.

As you know the underlying mission of public health is to improve the conditions and behaviors that affect health so that all people can attain it. That mission includes not only the practice of public health policy, but also the education of future leaders who eventually will improve the health of people regionally, nationally, and globally.

So to improve our members skills when it comes to health education we are having a workshop “ public health education workshop” that will be held on Sunday and Monday the 29th and 30th of January at the university of Khartoum from 3pm to 6pm.

Tuberclosis is an epidemic disease in much of the world causing the deaths of nearly one and half million people each year!

TB is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in Sudan. We as medical students who believe that prevention is better than cure, we must build awareness about this disease and limit its spread. The world TB day theme of this year is "UNIT TO END TB"

And here by we open the call for the anti_TB compaign and World TB Day Celebration's OC.

The celebration will be held on the 24th of march and the associated activities will be conducted through out the whole three weeks before.
