🇰🇷 Returning to the growing debate around remotely and autonomously operated ground robots for combat operations South Korea’s developments deserve serious attention.

🫥Hyundai Motor Group has unveiled the MobED (Mobile Eccentric Droid) an intelligent autonomous platform capable of navigating both flat urban terrain and rough broken ground while maintaining near-perfect balance throughout.

🧠 The system integrates AI, camera arrays, and LiDAR for spatial orientation obstacle avoidance, and task execution originally designed for cargo delivery and object manipulation in civilian logistics environments.

⚙️ Each of its four wheels is driven by three independent motors controlling steering, propulsion, and ground clearance separately allowing the chassis to remain perfectly level even on steep inclines where conventional wheeled platforms would struggle or tip.

🔺Maximum payload capacity is 65kg more than sufficient to carry a substantial explosive charge capable of systematically dismantling a fortified position across multiple approach runs, whether remotely piloted or operating autonomously on a pre-programmed route.
