A large male deer with antlers and his snout close to the ground moved through the back garden with urgency, to one end and the other, then moved swiftly towards the front of the house, and then came back again.
Through the garden, and finally through a path that partially divides the hedge. His mouth was open as if he might have bayed, but I could not hear.
Freezing rain all day.
By the time I opened the window to hear him better, he was through the hedge and gone. Praying blessings with him. He was searching for someone.
