Austin Texas communities learning about honorable applications of law were part of our earliest introductions to how we respect and protect one another's safety and well-being, especially amidst the violence of ubiquitous legal fictions and covert targeting operations. But without fuller awareness of disability and disablement in our spaces, even these important conversations can be vulnerable to co-optation by human trafficking organizations. Prioritizing inclusive communications, situational solutions, bonds of relationship in community, and listening intuitively with one another allows us to consolidate and strengthen our collective interpersonal powers.
