This BIG energy we're all experiencing —- it's transmutable, it's life-giving, it's here to prepare us for a world that supports us in real and honest ways. We are together in something we have barely begun to intuit. We are all indisputably connected. We are brave beyond imagining. We have already succeeded. We're changing because we are what change is. We manifest what we are moved to and what has meaning for us. (Can we even do anything else?)
There are scraps of dried herbs all over the floor here in my studio where I have tried so diligently to keep a space clear for stretching and yoga and movement practice on the floor. I love the herbs. They smell amazing. The whole room STINKS of DELICIOUS medicine. It's a beautiful situation. I took each bundle of herbs and put string through the binding and then I had a long messy garland of mimetic herbal protrusions, lemon balm, blackberry and raspberry leaves, rosemary, lavender, basil, mint, catnip. It felt suddenly like Christmas. Having my hands in the dirt of the garden, or buried in piles of fresh plant matter, weaving or crafting or preserving or fulfilling. I was meant to do this. And I'm so lucky to be doing this.
The body is screaming —- every cell is screaming. The body requires other bodies in fundamental ways. How do we come into contact with the world we are part of? How do we KNOW we are a part of it? How are somatic, non-verbal messages sent? How do we know one another and choose thriving as a body that is collective? How do we recognize and honor interconnection? And how many millions, trillions, zillions of living beings make up our own bodies individually? How do they perceive us? How do we respect them?
