Vesper Moore's post, including this article by Stefanie Lyn Kaufman-Mthimkhulu vehemently supported by community members:
' We need more peer support and community response networks. We need to put power back into the hands of the people. We need the people most impacted to not only give input but to run and be responsible for the inception of all system services. We need those who are marginalized to take the lead in each community not out of expectation or tokenization but humanization.
βReplace the cops with mental health workers!β is a really well-intentioned statement, but the current mental health system is also a white-dominated, violent, coercive, and unaccountable structure that disproportionately harms people of color.β β Morgan M. Page '

We Donβt Need Cops to Become Social Workers: We Need Peer Support + Community Response Networks
Social workers and psychiatric institutions complicit with the carceral state.
Hello, all. Joy and opportunity!
My fingers have stopped working (and quite painfully).
Due to sheer necessity, I'm in the habit of prioritizing continuous rescue support for others in our network while I am #severelydisabled with zero income. My body's physical survival needs have been compounding unfortunately in arrears.
Urgently needed are basic clothing to cover myself, shoes that fit, emergency medical supports, and money for safe food.
Will you please put a few dollars (or --- why not? --- a lot more than a few) in https://paypal.me/IntuitiveInvisibles? If you do, this will help me swiftly repair my body's function, safeguard our media infrastructure, and get back to work.
Upcoming soon in the @IntuitivePublicRadio production queue is truly groundbreaking content in support of multiply-marginalized, severely disabled communities, asking and answering questions that are addressed *nowhere else.*
I am so proud of what we have been building.
If you help me get my needs met, we will be able to much more substantially share it.
You can also share dollars with me via https://venmo.com/code?user_id=2958203662893056145,
https://cash.app/$IntuitivePublicRadio,
More great donation options can be found on this page: https://Intuitive.community/donations
If you don't have shareable dollars, I could really use your support a different way: https://Intuitive.pub/support
Survivors of Severity are depending on us.
Thank you for making this difference.
With gratitude for relief from suffering,
Max (Megan Elizabeth) Morris
