Today we have more technology and more ways to connect than ever, yet somehow everything feels more distant, digital and less personal.

Maybe that’s why the 80s still live so deeply in our hearts. It wasn’t perfect, but life felt human. There was innocence, anticipation, connection and a warmth that money and technology can’t replace.

We didn’t have everything back then… but somehow, what we had meant more.

Honestly, I wouldn’t completely rule out the possibility of technology like this being possible. Technology has advanced in ways that would’ve sounded like science fiction not long ago, and there’s still so much we don’t understand about physics and reality.

That said, I’m very sceptical this particular video is genuine. It’s short, blurry, has little context, and conveniently captures the exact moment something extraordinary appears to happen. In the age of AI, creating something like this would be incredibly easy.

But a fake video doesn’t automatically mean the idea itself is impossible.

My gut says this is probably AI or edited footage, but after everything we’ve witnessed over the last seven years, I’m certainly not saying anything is impossible. 😂

But I don’t think this is just about TikTok. It feels like part of a much bigger global push across all social media platforms, even platforms like Telegram—to restrict, suppress, or limit the reach of information that challenges the mainstream narrative.

The real issue is who gets to decide what information people are allowed to see.

Control the platforms, control the algorithms, control the reach of information, and ultimately, you can influence what people are exposed to and what they believe.

And this is why I think we need to look very closely at things like the under-16 social media restrictions. On the surface, we are told it is about protecting children, but that is the excuse and the foundation for something much bigger: digital ID being required to access the internet and prove everyone’s age.

You see, once the infrastructure exists, it can always be expanded. That’s the part that should concern everyone. 👀
