What is the origin?

Its origin in the Etruscan civilization and was passed on to ancient Rome.

What was the purpose?

The fasces was a portable kit for flogging and decapitation. Roman lictors arrested and punished people, and acted as bodyguards for the powerful; they used the rods to lash people, and the ax to execute them. The laws of the twelve tables ended summary execution of Roman citizens in the fifth century, though fasces continued to be a powerful symbol of violent repression in ancient Rome.

Why is it on currency?

The Roman Government never went away. They simply relocated and changed names. This is one of their methods of bragging. You are living under Roman Civil Law (Admiralty/Maritime) aka COMMERCE Law. Putting it on coinage is rubbing it in your face.

Not everyone is worth investing your only real currency... attention... I say real currency because well love is the only truth it's is the truth that loving all is loving all of you. If the Pope were honest these words would be coming from his mouth. It is something worthy of gratitude that we do have an Archbishop and cardinal who is able to speak the truth with integrity. Truth is simply being able to accept oneself exactly as one is and to be aware of all of one's Parts exactly as they are... because our inner world will always be presented to us as the outer worlds like a mirror, though some parts are perfectly inverted (like a convex mirror) it is still 100% dependent on our own inner state of Harmony and unconditional self-acceptance and unconditional self-love... it's not like our parents wanted to not accept us or teach us to not accept ourselves exactly as we are but rather they were simply shown the same level of acceptance and love when they grew up... so it was passed on generationaly because they were just being reasonable and working with what they had and doing their best just as you do, just as my parents did. The key is in recognizing that when we allow ourselves to accept all of ourselves including both the 95% of our self that is stuffed down into the subconscious mind the one that seems to be keeping us to the same cycles of self-sabotage and being unable to trust and love and connect with others without defenses and protections and all the things that prevent truth.... which is that everyone around us is actually a perfect mirror of God in the process of remembering (re-member-ing) that in divine time just as our journey back home to our beautiful Creator is divinely timed...💓
