๐Ÿ–ŒShort story of the day ๐Ÿ–Œ
๐ŸƒThe Clever Bull:

There was a forest with many birds and animals. Once, a bull wandering in the forest came upon a cave. Near the cave was a big pond and lush green grass. โ€œThis is an ideal place for me to settle down," the bull thought. So, he made the cave his home. Many days passed. The bull became quite healthy, grazing in the meadows. The bull was happy and peaceful living in that cave. He had made many friends in that forest.

One day, the bull was resting outside his cave house. A lion happened to come by that way. The lion was happy to have spotted a bull after a long time. โ€œAha! A bull! He is so healthy too," thought the majestic lion, licking his lips in anticipation of a good meal. The bull too noticed the lion. He could sense danger. I must be on my guard now," the bull thought and decided to do something to hide himself from the lion.

When the lion came close to the bull, the clever bull looked into the cave and called out, โ€œDarling, do not cook anything for dinner. I have just spotted a lion. I am waiting for it to come near." When the lion heard the bull, he returned around and ran for his life.

A jackal saw the lion running breathlessly. โ€œWhy are you running, Mr. Lion?" asked the jackal. The lion told him all that had happened. โ€œThe bull has made a fool out of you," replied the jackal. And the jackal added, โ€œCome with me. Together we can feast on the bull." But the lion was too scared to believe the jackal.

The jackal understood why the lion was hesitating to come with him. โ€œAlright then! Tie your tail with mine and let me lead you to the cave of the bull. In case the bull attacks, then I will be the one who will get caught first," the jackal said.

The lion agreed to this plan of action prepared by the jackal. And then the lion and the jackal tied their tails together. They set off to the bullโ€™s cave.

Both the lion and the jackal went near the cave where the bull was. When the bull saw the lion coming with the jackal, he thought, โ€œI am sure that cunning jackal knows I fooled the lion. Without panicking, the bull cried out to the jackal, โ€œI had asked you to being me two lions. Do you want me to keep my children hungry?"

Even this time the lion did not realize that the bull was again fooling him. He was terrified. He ran as fast as he could run dragging the jackal with him over stones and thorns. The clever bull outwitted his enemies and saved himself from its enemies.

Both the lion and the jackal never returned that way. Thereafter the bull lived a peaceful and happy life with his wife and children.

โœ…When you were a kid you probably sang,The ants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah,โ€ but have you ever stopped and wondered why ants march one by one?.The reason ants march in a line boils down to scented chemicals called pheromones.

๐Ÿ“ŒAnts use pheromones to communicate with other ants. Ants will produce pheromones to warn other ants about a nearby predator, to tell other ants to help defend the colony, or to share the location of a food source.

โœ…Antarctica is the coldest place on earth, with temperatures at an average of -49ยฐC, and it rarely ever gets above freezing. The Sun is always low on the horizon, even in the middle of summer. In winter, the Sun is so far below the horizon that it doesn't come up at all for months at a time.

๐Ÿ“ŒWhen sunlight does eventually meet Antarctica, a lot of the rays are bounced off due to the Antarctic being made of very reflective, shiny white ice, and there are no clouds to trap any of the reflected heat. There are no clouds because the environment is so cold, and any water vapour instantly freezes.

๐Ÿ–ŒThe Lost Wallet:๐Ÿ–Œ

I stumbled on a wallet someone had lost in the street. Wanting to find the owner, I opened it, but it only contained 3 dollars and an old crumpled envelope. I opened the letter and saw a return address and dateline...1924. It had been written 60 years ago. It was signed Hannah.

I called information, maybe there was a phone listing for the address. The operator hesitantly told me there was a number, but the best she could do was call it and see if they wanted to be connected. I learned that Hannah was now living in a Nursing Home. And was given the number.

It seemed silly, wanting to contact someone over a letter written 60 years ago, but I felt impelled. I was told that Hannah was there and though it was fairly late I followed my instinct and went to see her.

She was a sweet silver-haired lady with a warm smile and a twinkle in her eye. 1 told her about finding the wallet and showed her the letter.

She took a deep breath and said, "Young man, this letter was the last contact I ever had with Michael."

She said softly "I loved him very much. But I was only 16 at the time and my mother felt I was too young. "If you should find him, tell him I still love him."

With tears in her eyes she told me she had never married because no one had matched up to him in her heart.

I thanked her and left. As I was waiting by the elevator the nurse there asked, "Was Hannah able to help you?"

I'd taken out the wallet as she was speaking and she said "Hey, wait a minute that's Michael Goldstein's wallet. I'd recognize it anywhere, he's always losing it."

My hands began to shake. "Who's Michael Goldstein?" I asked.

"One of the residents on the 8th floor. That's his wallet for sure."

I dashed up to the 8th floor and the nurse on duty told me he was still in the day room.

We went into the day room and as soon as Michael saw the wallet a smile of relief crossed his face. I confessed I'd read the letter in an attempt to find the owner of the wallet. The smile on his face disappeared.

"But I think you'll be happy I did," I said. I think I know where Hannah is.

He grew pale. "Where is she? How is she? Please tell me he begged. "She's fine I said quietly." "I was so in love with that girl and when that letter came, my life came to a halt. I never married. I guess I've always loved her."

I asked him to come with me and took him down to the 3rd floor where Hannah was sitting alone, watching television. The floor nurse pointed to Michael. "Do you know this man Hannah?" She adjusted her glasses but didn't speak. Michael whispered, "Hannah it's me, Michael. Do you remember me?"

She gasped. "Michael. Michael, I don't believe it. It's you! My Michael."

They walked towards one another and embraced. The nurse and I left with tears streaming down our faces.

About three weeks later I got a call from the nursing home. "Can you break away on Sunday to attend a wedding? Michael and Hannah are going to tie the knot!"

It was a beautiful wedding with all the people at the nursing home joining in the celebration. I was the best man!

The hospital gave them their own room and if you ever wanted to see a 76-year-old bride and a 79-year-old groom acting like two teenagers, you had to see this couple.

A perfect ending for a love affair that had lasted nearly 60 years.

๐Ÿ–ŒConversation of the day ๐Ÿ–Œ
๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸฆฐJohn: Do you always have dinner at a different time, too?

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸฆฐSarah: No. I almost always eat dinner around 6 o'clock. How about you? When do you eat dinner?

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸฆฐJohn: My dinner time varies a lot just like my breakfast. So maybe I eat dinner later than most people. I think I would have dinner at 7:00 PM at the earliest. But sometimes, I will have dinner as late as 9 o'clock at night.

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸฆฐSarah: Really?

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸฆฐJohn: Yeah. I don't mind it. I really like cooking so, if I'm cooking a short thing, I'll have dinner earlier. But I don't mind if it takes two hours to cook something really good, I'll eat later at night.

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸฆฐSarah: Wow. Can you tell me about your work routine? What time do you usually go to work?

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸฆฐJohn: See, my work schedule is different everyday. That's why I wake up at a different time everyday. Maybe on โ€“ for example, some weeks on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, I start work at 7:00. But on Thursday and Friday, I don't start work until 11:30.

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸฆฐSarah: Ah.

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸฆฐJohn: How about you? Do you have a different work time sometimes?

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸฆฐSarah: Well, right now, I'm on maternity leave. So I stay home and take care of my new baby.

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸฆฐJohn: Oh, congratulations.

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸฆฐSarah: Thank you. I try to work at home a little bit everyday though. If the kids are sleeping or they're playing quietly, I try to do some work. Maybe around 2 o'clock, I can usually get some work done because the kids are sleeping.

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸฆฐJohn: Oh, if you don't start getting some work done until 2 o'clock in the afternoon, you must be very busy every morning.

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸฆฐSarah: Yeah. I usually go to the grocery store. Sometimes I take the kids to the park around 10:00 in the morning. I often do the laundry or wash the dishes, and then as soon as the dishes are washed, it's time to make lunch. So I'm busy all day.

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸฆฐJohn: I see. So that's why your lunch time can change so much.

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸฆฐSarah: Yeah.

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸฆฐJohn: Oh, it sounds like a busy day.

โœ… vegetarians refer to a person who does not eat meat but when we talk about eggs, there is confusion. According to a religious point of view, nonveg is referred to as killing someone or taking innocent life. But eggs which we have in the market are not fertilized which means they don't have any life inside them. Eggs have three parts, eggshell, white part(source of protein) and yellow part(called yolk). Six to seven weeks old hen gives 1-2 eggs within one or one and a half days.

๐Ÿ“ŒThe reason why most of the eggs are fertilised because during birth male chicken is killed because of two reasons, according to poultry farms, growing them in terms of profit is of no use and secondly, if they grow, they may mate with hen and be fertilised eggs, which mostly can't be sell in Market. So if you consider not killing anyone as veg food, then ๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ณ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ถ๐—น๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ฒ๐—ด๐—ด๐˜€ can be considered under the veg diet. So market egg are veg(scientifically).

โœ…As you reach back to pull your chair and sit up straight, your elbow smashes into the chairโ€™s arm, hitting directly on the โ€œsweet spot.โ€ Waves of pain, what people often describe as an โ€œelectric shock,โ€.

๐Ÿ“ŒThe funny โ€œboneโ€ is actually a long vine of a nerve called the ulnar nerve. The ulnar nerve is a long nerve that extends from the neck to the pinkie finger. It is unprotected in the cubital tunnel, which is the space between the upper arm and forearm. When you hit your funny bone against something, the unprotected nerve is pressed against the bone. The squeezed or irritated ulnar nerve spouts the waves of pain, emitting the โ€œelectric shock.โ€ The waves terrorize the regions innervated by the nerve: the forearm, the pinkie, and half of the ring finger.
