This, is interesting.

99% of children manage to attend school from 7 in the morning 🌄 to as late as 5 in the evening,

even on days when they don’t feel like it 🥹 they drag themselves out of bed and head to school..

Why then is it an uphill task  for us to do the same for our goals?

Motivation..👍

Now this may be a challenge for many .💡

And something I hear a lot…

Concerned Parent : "Coach Irfan, I have a problem.

How do I make my child listen and do his work? 👂

"He doesn’t follow to the most simplest of things.."😒

"I’ve tried many ways...gifts, games, gadgets📲, freedom...you name it

And it doesn’t work!"

How then can we motivate the unmotivated?🚀

This is the important part of motivation...it all comes down to...

DIscipline.📔

The discipline to stay on task.

The discipline to follow our goals and dreams.🎯

Let me share with you a way I found works wonders..🤩

Now of course there's more than one way and no one size fits all 👕

but this can be a real advantage for you…

You see, the average person is more comfortable with disappointing themselves than disappointing others.

We make promises to ourselves quite a bit.💬

Self-talks and self-thoughts about our targets for the day.📆

Same for a student.👨‍🏫👩‍🏫

"I'll plan to do 10 questions today."

"I'll master 2 main Problem Solving concepts."

These self-communications happen frequently . 🤳

However, do we commit fully to them?

A tip that works. 🚧

Speak to your good friend or family member about your goals, even your daily targets.

If you're not comfy with your direct family member or friends, then aunts, uncles, cousins work too ! 🎒

Write your goals down, like what you intend to achieve in a day, in a week, in your class tests, and then for your exams too. 📝

Pen them on a piece of paper and discuss with this person.

This step is particularly good because when you make promises to yourself, without others knowing, 🤫

it can be easy to be lenient with yourself, to let yourself off the hook 🐟

because nobody knows you were supposed to do it, right?

When you tell someone, then you will also have to answer if you fail to deliver.

This sort of accountability can help students achieve discipline in their goals. 🏆

Why not use this post-mid year period to find someone you can speak with and start setting your goals.

Start taking actions towards your dreams..👨‍💻👩‍💻

To your success always

It's the month of June ! 😌

You know what that means???

No more rushing for the school bus 🚍
No more competing for the washroom 🚻in the wee hours...
No more gobbling down your breakfast ! 🥛

Semester 1 has been long and this break comes as a relief for families

More importantly though, the holidays provide an opportunity to refresh our energies, our mind.🏖

A chance for students to get a headstart into the next sem too !
I recall during my school days that I always looked forward to holidays.

It was certainly a chance to rejuventate and recharge. 🧃

In fact, the first time I started to work on a Maths study system was during a school term break, when I was free from the rigours of long school hours.

The holidays gave space for me to self-reflect and plug any gaps I had in my Maths skills and strategies.📊

Holidays :
- a time when students are free from long school schedules. 📆
- a time when new study plans can be worked on.
- a time when independent learning can be done at any time of the day. 📎

Holidays are a great time to get to a newer and better place for your studies. 📚

There are no magic formulas or secret recipes for Maths.

There are systems, methods and techniques available. 💡

Just like if we have a useful tool or machine such as a car. 🚖

But a driver who doesn't practice driving is unable to drive successfully.

Same applies for Maths.

Take a break, focus on self-reflection, plan your time and have an awesome semester break ! ⚡️

Best of success !

⏰️ School starts in about 2 weeks time..

💯 Time to get ready for it! Get pumped up to excel in the new term.

These were probably the things that you should have done during the holidays :

1️⃣ Did a self-reflection on your past performance. How did you do in the previous term? What went wrong? How could it have been better?
