Thu: BoE Rate Decision 🔥 → ~86% odds of a hold at 3.75%, but June's 7-2 vote showed growing hawkish dissent, and markets now price two hikes by March on the oil spike. A hawkish hold could still send GBP higher.

USD/JPY 🇺🇸🇯🇵
Fri: BOJ Rate Decision 🔥 → BOJ hiked to 1% in June and is the only G10 bank still tightening — a hawkish signal here could finally narrow the Fed gap that's kept yen near 40-year lows, though Goldman's ¥165 forecast shows how skeptical markets remain.

USD/CAD 🇺🇸🇨🇦
Ongoing: Oil above $100 🔥 → Brent's up over 30% this month as the Red Sea front opens alongside Hormuz. Normally CAD-positive, but broad USD strength has kept offsetting it — watch whether that finally breaks.

This week: CLARITY Act crunch time 🔥 → BTC's holding the mid-$60Ks despite a broader tech selloff — still trading more on Fed policy than war headlines, with Wednesday's FOMC the nearer catalyst. → Bigger story: the Senate has until Aug 7 to pass the CLARITY Act before recess, or it likely slips to a lame-duck session post-midterms. Bessent called it the "1-yard line," but Democratic holdouts remain — odds are roughly split. ETH is most sensitive to this news given its role in the bill's commodity classification.
