An Act for a guaranteed livable basic income
Whereas every person should have access to a livable basic income;
Whereas the provision of a guaranteed livable basic income would go a long way toward eradicating poverty and improving income equality, health conditions and educational outcomes;
Whereas the provision of a guaranteed livable basic income would benefit individuals, families and communities and protect those who are made most vulnerable in society, while facilitating the transition to an economy that responds to the climate crisis and other current major challenges;
And whereas a guaranteed livable basic income program implemented through a national framework would ensure the respect, dignity and security of all persons in Canada.

Dr. Boot’s excellent book, The Ruler of Kings, looks at ways in which Christianity should influence public life in order to reverse the “disturbing totalitarian drift of a complacent society…. I believe that this is the reason that Rev. Dr. Boot repeatedly calls for Christians to step-up and seek to reinvigorate the key role of Christian ethics; ”We will either be faithful office-bearers calling the state to order in light of the Word of God and His creation ordinances or we will submit ourselves to the arbitrary dictates of the autonomous man and his reason, enabling the ancient idolatry of statism.”

The scale of derivatives held by major banks like JPMorgan Chase & Co., Citibank and Goldman Sachs, amounting to $203 trillion, has raised concerns about the potential risks these positions might pose to the global economy.
A larger concern is the lack of reporting and availability of data surrounding the derivatives market. For example, a recent BIS article highlighted the growing trillions in missing debt created by certain derivatives. Forex swaps, forwards and currency swaps create debts that don't appear on balance sheets and most debt statistics. Swaps such as these are an underlying common denominator for many financial crises and shocks to the system, causing entities to fail or creating funding squeezes. These off-sheet debts are estimated to be at a staggering $97 trillion globally across all currencies and growing fast.
⭐️Note: The valuation of $203 Trillion is very questionable. I would add a massive multiple to this.
