On Saturday 22 April, hundreds joined a Cologne Assembly in support of the Charter of Minimum Demands issued by 20 trade and civil organisations in Iran. Over 1600 civil and political activists came out in support of the assembly as did 75 political parties and organisations in the Diaspora.
Reza Shahabi and Hassan Saeedi, labour leaders of Syndicate of Workers of Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company sent a message of solidarity to the Assembly and in defence of the Charter from Evin Prison.
The Charter of Minimum Demands is significant as it has its roots in independent trade unions and organised social movements. Its timely publication has set the standard and has created an environment to unite labour and civic groups, and mobilise support and solidarity within Iran and in the diaspora.
See some photos of event as well as my interview on the significance of the Charter of Minimum Demands.

Women are Dancing in Solidarity with Woman, Life, Freedom Revolution in Iran
به #اعتراض #رقص_برای_آزادی زنان در روز شنبه 29 آوریل Circus Piccadilly، ساعت 3 بعد از ظهر در همبستگی با انقلاب #زن_زندگی_آزادی بپیوندید
The women of Iran have long protested the Islamic regime of Iran by dancing.
We continue this tradition on International Dance Day.
#dance4freedom organised by One Law for All and FiLiA will be 45 minutes long, symbolic of the time it took for the notorious morality police to call an ambulance after Mahsa Amini collapsed in detention.
Mahsa Jina Amini, a young Kurdish woman, was violently arrested for ‘improper veiling.’ She died a few days later on 16 September 2022. Her death is the spark of the women-led revolution unfolding in Iran.

Feminist Dissent
"The Mahsa Jina revolution is too important for the women and people of Iran, the region and world to be derailed by would be dictators and policies that put profit before people’s rights and welfare" . Excellent new blogpost by @MaryamNamazie
