I've added the /fbanstat command to Rose!

You can use this to check which federations a user has been banned in.

Usage:
/fbanstat -> info about your bans
/fbanstat <fedid> -> detailed info about your ban in a specific federation
/fbanstat <userid> -> info about a user's fedbans
fbanstat <userid> <fedid> -> detailed info about a user's ban in a specific federation

You also don't have to use the user ids; you can also reply to them, use their mention, or use their @. All options work!

Hi everyone!

As Im sure many of you are aware, Rose has been down for the last few hours - to the best of my knowledge, this has been due to either telegram or scaleway (server) issues. Ive taken her back up now and she should be back working at full speed, and ill be looking at logs to see if anything stands out.
I'd also like to mention that I'm really sorry about this and how long it took to fix; I was out without access to telegram or a laptop so was only made aware of it 3 hours into the downtime. Hopefully shouldnt happen again! If anyone has any information about what caused it, do feel free to share :)

For those who dable with telegram bots, this is fun: rose had 2 bot tokens for a while because telegram was being shit, so im going to go ahead and guess that was the issue here; because clearly, thats not meant to happen...

New Rose update!
A lot of people have been requesting to be able to use fillings in notes, filters, and rules, not just in welcome messages. That's now possible, so go ahead and make your saved messages as personalised as you want!
I've also added a new filling; {preview}. Adding this will enable link previews for your messages, making it possible to show instant view links.

A quick reminder of the supported fillings:
- {first}
- {last}
- {fullname}
- {username}
- {mention}
- {id}
- {chatname}
- {rules}
- {preview}

I've also updated all the translations, and added polish 🇵🇱; Big thank you to those who've contributed.

Scaleway (my server provider) has gone down, so rose is also down; sorry for the trouble, she'll be up again as soon as scaleway sort themselves out 🙄

Some people have asked if this means they lose their data - no data will be lost. All your filters, notes, and settings are perfectly safe and will be intact as soon as scaleway fixes their servers.

To celebrate, our dear admin Kyle has gone ahead and created a fantastic tutorial on how to use Rose, covering all the small intricacies and details that you might come across :) think /help, but on steroids!

Note that this is still a WIP, so mobile support hasn't been added yet - it'll be best enjoyed on a computer :)

Rose has been updated to support button locking!

You can now do /lock button, to stop people from sending button links via inline bots or forwards. Since these are URLs, the buttons can also be whitelisted; any buttons with whitelisted URLs will not be deleted.

Note: due to telegram bot api restrictions, rose can only see buttons which open a URL, not other buttons.

Forgot to mention:
If locking all buttons is a bit too extreme for you, blacklists also work on button text and button urls, so any links that you've already blacklisted will get deleted if they're sent in a button! :)

There are some issues with rose and welcome messages at the moment - these will be fixed tomorrow, as soon as I have access to a computer.

(blame telegram, they started testing in production and changed their API with no warning whatsoever)

Sorry for the troubles! I recommend disabling welcomes messages until then.

The issue with buttons caused by telegrams latest update (followed by their silent update changing some apis without telling anyone) has been fixed.

Sorry about all the error messages from rose, ill be working on improving that in the future :)

Also brightened up the main blue theme for colourblind users, so do give us any feedback on any colour issues :)

In August 2017, I launched Marie.

She was aimed for a group of about 1000 users, and I made her just to prove a point to a friend of mine that a you could create a stable group management bot using the bot api, which didn't rely on the user api.

She grew quickly, and about 3 months later I was excited to see I'd hit 6k users. I added some more features, made her faster, and kept improving her. In April 2018, she hit 100k. Things were going well!
Come July, I'd hit 1M users, but I could see that the python codebase was nowhere near good enough to keep scaling - so in August 2018, I started work on @MissRose_bot.

Lots of people jumped ship to Rose, enjoying the speed and the new features I was able to add now that I wasn't held back by Marie's legacy code. Rose grew quickly, a lot faster than Marie ever did - it only took a bit over a month to get 100k users.

Today, it's been a bit over 10 months since I launched Rose.
Today, she overtakes Marie in terms of user numbers.
Today, she's officially faster and more scalable than Marie. 🎉

Basically, Rose has seen some incredible growth and has overtaken Marie, even though Marie is twice as old. Good stuff.

So thank you for the support and all the helpful feature requests, couldn't have reached these numbers without them!

Telegram seems to be having some issues, so rose might not be working as expected. She'll get back on track as soon as telegram does!

Rose is back up!

Scaleway is acting up, rose is down and I'm not home to see what the problem is. Just wait, she'll catch up eventually.

Looks like everything is fine again, I'll look at causes when possible - have lots of optimisations lined up to avoid these things!

Rose is experiencing some issues.

Ive locked the support chats because people are being abusive and entitled.

Im working on a fix and getting all my optimisations up, hopefully it'll help everything.
