I've released a new feature: federation subscriptions!

Using this, it is now possible to subscribe to other federations, and inherit all their bans.
An example use case for this would be to subscribe your federation to an anti-spambot federation. This would allow you to keep the power of fedbans across your chats, yet still avoid spambots as if you were subscribed to the other fed!

Updated all translation strings, and fixed some small bugs which should make Rose feel smoother to use.

Minor Rose update:

Improved /connect logic:
- when an admin does /connect in a chat, he gets connected to that chat in pm - he no longer needs to get the ID and then connect manually.
- you can now use /connect @chatusername to connect to public chats from your pm. Of course, the same rules as usual apply - you need to be in the chat to access the content.

Also, improved fedban lists!
You can now export them in csv format by calling /fbanlist csv.
Of course, it wouldn't make sense to only have exports and not imports, so I also added csv importing - the correct import mode is chosen automatically, so just use this as usual.

Some of the translations seem to be lagging behind - for everyone's sake, it would be nice to have updated translations to keep bot usage nice and seamless, so if anyone would like to share their language knowledge, please do!

The biggest offenders at the moment are:
- french (68%)
- chinese traditional (72%)
- german (73%)
- malayalam (77%)
- persian (75%)
- russian (70%)

There are some others which could do nicely with an update, and will be making it onto the list of shame if they're not maintained (such as brazilian portuguese, hebrew and italian), but theyre not too bad yet, so I'll let it slide.

As usual, head to crowdin to contribute. And if you want to start adding a brand new language, please dont hesitate! Just drop a message in @RoseSupport when you're finished translating, and I'll add it to Rose.

To celebrate, I completely reworked the way Rose stores buttons - this means there are even fewer database accesses, which should make her even faster!

This rework also allowed me to finish a request thats been on the TODO list for a while - you can now import and export chat settings, including all your notes and filters. Go check out the /help on imports/exports for more information.

Do let me know if you bump into any bugs; this was quite a big rework (30 files changed, 1500 additions) so if you see a bug or two popping up around the place (especially to do with buttons and markdown), drop a message in @RoseSupport and I'll fix it ASAP!

I'd also like to give a special shout out to Sebastian, who did an insane job at testing the new notes logic and nearly made me sick of his bug reports. He's a prized member of the Rose community! Thank you Seb :)

Also added support for locking polls - I promised I'd add it as soon as API support for it came out, so here it is.

I've updated the translations! Big thanks to the translators that were so quick to pick up the export translations.

As a sidenote:
A lot of languages are now trailing behind on their translations. I'll be removing all languages that are under 75% complete at the end of this week. Currently, this list includes:

- french (67%)
- chinese traditional (71%)
- german (72%)
- malayalam (75%)
- persian (73%)
- russian (68%)

This happens to be the exact same list that I gave 2 weeks ago, and no-one has added any translations since.

- Added a federation deletion confirmation button, to avoid you from accidentally deleting your fed! (thanks for the suggestion Andrea!)
- the /lock command can now take plurals as well as singulars (eg /lock poll works just as well as /lock polls)

Rose Update:
Improved fedban list logic!
- Exporting now defaults to csv; its more stable to import than the previous format.
The command also takes arguments for which type you'd like to export as; csv, json or human (which is the old format)

- Import logic is strengthened to choose the right filetype more regularly, and has been optimised to be faster.

As mentioned last week, I've also removed the languages which didn't have 75%+ translation on crowdin. Not sure I approve of Russian's sneaky 76% completion - would be nice if that could go higher, considering as soon as I add new strings it'll be below 75% again, and I'll remove it then.

To French, Chinese, Persian and Malayalam users; if you want your languages back, get them over 90% on crowdin!
Remember that I'm only forcing this 75% limit so that everyone can have a consistent, enjoyable experience using Rose!

I've added the /fbanstat command to Rose!

You can use this to check which federations a user has been banned in.

Usage:
/fbanstat -> info about your bans
/fbanstat <fedid> -> detailed info about your ban in a specific federation
/fbanstat <userid> -> info about a user's fedbans
fbanstat <userid> <fedid> -> detailed info about a user's ban in a specific federation

You also don't have to use the user ids; you can also reply to them, use their mention, or use their @. All options work!

Hi everyone!

As Im sure many of you are aware, Rose has been down for the last few hours - to the best of my knowledge, this has been due to either telegram or scaleway (server) issues. Ive taken her back up now and she should be back working at full speed, and ill be looking at logs to see if anything stands out.
I'd also like to mention that I'm really sorry about this and how long it took to fix; I was out without access to telegram or a laptop so was only made aware of it 3 hours into the downtime. Hopefully shouldnt happen again! If anyone has any information about what caused it, do feel free to share :)

For those who dable with telegram bots, this is fun: rose had 2 bot tokens for a while because telegram was being shit, so im going to go ahead and guess that was the issue here; because clearly, thats not meant to happen...

New Rose update!
A lot of people have been requesting to be able to use fillings in notes, filters, and rules, not just in welcome messages. That's now possible, so go ahead and make your saved messages as personalised as you want!
I've also added a new filling; {preview}. Adding this will enable link previews for your messages, making it possible to show instant view links.

A quick reminder of the supported fillings:

- {mention}
- {id}
- {chatname}
- {rules}
- {preview}

I've also updated all the translations, and added polish 🇵🇱; Big thank you to those who've contributed.

Some people have asked if this means they lose their data - no data will be lost. All your filters, notes, and settings are perfectly safe and will be intact as soon as scaleway fixes their servers.

To celebrate, our dear admin Kyle has gone ahead and created a fantastic tutorial on how to use Rose, covering all the small intricacies and details that you might come across :) think /help, but on steroids!

Rose has been updated to support button locking!

You can now do /lock button, to stop people from sending button links via inline bots or forwards. Since these are URLs, the buttons can also be whitelisted; any buttons with whitelisted URLs will not be deleted.

Note: due to telegram bot api restrictions, rose can only see buttons which open a URL, not other buttons.

Forgot to mention:
If locking all buttons is a bit too extreme for you, blacklists also work on button text and button urls, so any links that you've already blacklisted will get deleted if they're sent in a button! :)
