Luni river
โช๏ธ It originates in the Pushkar valley of the Aravalli Range, near Ajmer, passes through the southeastern portion of the Thar Desert, and ends in the marshy lands of Rann of Kutch in Gujarat.
โช๏ธ It is first known as Sagarmati, then after passing Govindgarh, it meets its tributary Saraswati, which originates from Pushkar Lake, and from then on it gets its name Luni.
โช๏ธ The Luni is also known as the Lavanavari or Lavanavati, which means "salt river" in Sanskrit, due high salinity of its water.

๐Haldia & the kolkata port are located on either side of Hooghly river. They're not considered as 2 separate ports but a single port with 2 twin dock systems.
Kamrajar is the new name of Ennore port. The only major port in India that is being handled by a company.

๐ตThe straitโs Arabic name means โthe gate of tears,โ so called from the dangers that formerly attended its navigation.
