Jim Corbett National Park
▪️ Oldest NP in India, established in 1936 as Hailey National Park to protect the endangered Bengal Tiger.
▪️ It is located in Nainital district and Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand .
▪️ Named after Jim Corbett, well known hunter
▪️ The park was the first to come under the Project Tiger initiative.
▪️ Ramganga river flows through the National park
▪️ The core area forms the Jim Corbett National Park while the buffer contains reserve forests as well as the Sonanadi Wildlife Sanctuary

It is located on the Indo-Nepal border in the Lakhimpur Kheri District utter Pradesh
It is a national park in the Terai belt of marshy grasslands of northern Uttar Pradesh
The main flora comprises sal, asna, shisham, jamun, gular, sehore and bahera.
Major attractions of Dudhwa National Park are the tigers and swamp deer.
In 1987, the park was declared a tiger reserve and brought under the purview of the ‘Project Tiger’.
Dudhwa National Park is a stronghold of the barasingha. Around half of the world's barasinghas are present in Dudhwa National Park.
